OUR Community Chaplain has continued to build on our
existing links with schools in our parish: spending regular time in both St Stephen’s Junior School and St Stephen’s Infant School, building relationships with staff and students.

Through means such as: crochet club, lunchtime Bible club, prayer corner, collective worship, and hosting classes at the church.

Ultimately, creating safe spaces where children and young people can hope, explore faith, and ask questions.

2025 also brought with it Harvest and Christmas services, along with opportunities for students to visit the church building and explore what church is. For some, this was their very first experience of church.

Together with other church volunteers, Elaine also had the privilege of sharing the true message of Christmas with students through Christmas in a Box.

2026 all of the above has continued, including a Lent collective worship which got students thinking of the meaning of Lent and testing their pancake flipping skills!

Easter in a box will also take place nearer the time.
