Mission Statement
WE exist to share the love of God, which we see most clearly in Jesus.
   Our Mission as Christians in Soundwell is to enable everyone to get to know Jesus and to deepen their relationship with Him.
   We aim to do this by being the Church family for the whole community; journeying together through the good times, tough times, and also the everyday, ordinary times; nurturing faith, having fun, serving our neighbourhood and working in partnership with those around us.
   St Stephen’s Church is a place of prayer and worship where everyone is welcome; everyone is valued; everyone is important, to us, and to God. This is because life, love and death does not make sense without Jesus.

Aims
This means we seek to:
🔸 Be Christians, who, throughout our daily lives, read the Bible and pray, learn to listen to and be guided by the Holy Spirit, ‘overflowing’ in thanks and praise to God.
🔸 Be a church where all generations can find a place to grow in faith and to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus.
🔸 Be a community which warmly welcomes and values everyone.
🔸 Be people who are; slow to judge, kind towards each other, and when needed, live out practical care and compassion towards each other. Unity matters.
🔸 Be a community that values fun, humour and friendship in our times together.
🔸 Be a church that is outward facing and a blessing to our local community.
🔸 Be a church where everyone feels safe.
🔸 Be committed to being environmentally friendly.
🔸 Be Christians who make Jesus known in all we think, say and do.
